UAE Minister Reem Al Hashimy confirmed as speaker at Brazil Africa Forum 2025


The President of the Brazil Africa Institute (IBRAF), João Bosco Monte, met with the United Arab Emirates Minister of State for International Cooperation, Reem Bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, during the BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting held in Rio de Janeiro on Monday, the 28th. During the meeting, the Minister confirmed her participation as a speaker at the Brazil Africa Forum 2025, which will take place in São Paulo on November 4 and 5. Her presence at the event reinforces the shared commitment to advancing sustainable development agendas and international cooperation.
Additionally, the progress of the partnership between IBRAF and the UAE government within the framework of the Youth Technical Training Program (YTTP) was discussed. This initiative aims to train young Africans through technical courses at leading Brazilian institutions. The Minister praised the results achieved in the early editions of the program and expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming cohorts.
President João Bosco Monte highlighted the importance of coordination between countries to strengthen actions focused on human development. “The YTTP has become a bridge connecting African youth with Brazilian technical and scientific knowledge, with essential support from strategic partners such as the government of the United Arab Emirates,” he stated.
