The Brazil Africa Institute (IBRAF) is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening cooperation between Brazil, Africa, and partners around the world.

OUR PRESIDENT
João Bosco Monte
João Bosco Monte is a professor and strategist specializing in international relations, economic diplomacy, and development cooperation. He is widely recognized as one of the leading figures in advancing Brazil–Africa relations and as one of the foremost advocates of South-South Cooperation.
Throughout his career, he has built bridges among governments, international organizations, development finance institutions, academia, and the private sector, fostering initiatives that drive economic transformation, sustainable development, and stronger partnerships across the Global South.

Staff
IBRAF President chairs the executive departments and is responsible for overall management. We operate day-to-day under the leadership of the Presidency, with Offices covering: partnerships and development management, strategy management, project management, data and research management, communications management.
