The Brazil Africa Institute (IBRAF) has been invited to the 31st Annual Meetings of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank). IBRAF is represented by its president, Professor João Bosco Monte, at the event held in Nassau, the Bahamas, from June 12-15, 2024.

This year’s meeting is notable as it will be the first Afreximbank Annual Meeting of Shareholders in the Caribbean. It will also include the 3rd Afri-Caribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF), emphasizing the goal of strengthening connections between Africa and the Caribbean. The theme for the event is “Owning Our Destiny: Economic Prosperity on the Platform of Global Africa.”

The participation of Professor João Bosco Monte as a Special Guest highlights his important work in promoting development and cooperation between Brazil and Africa. “I am truly honored to be invited to the 31st Annual Meetings of Afreximbank. This event represents a significant opportunity to strengthen economic partnerships and collaborative development between Africa and the Caribbean. By coming together at such forums, we can chart a path towards shared prosperity and sustainable growth. I eagerly anticipate engaging in meaningful discussions and advancing the vital connection between Brazil and Africa.”

The event is a great opportunity to showcase the 2024 edition of the Brazil Africa Forum, which will take place on October 14 and 15, in São Paulo. More information can be found at forumbrazilafrica.com
