President of the Brazil Africa Institute (IBRAF), Prof. João Bosco Monte was a speaker in the 20th Global Child Nutrition Forum (GCNF). Prof. Monte shared the panel on multiple benefits of the schoolmeals with Dr. Don Bundy from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and BiBi Giyose from The New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD).
The panel discussed the countries initiatives on nutrition, agriculture and education as part of the schoolmeals.
The 20th GCNF was held in Tunis, Tunisia, with the theme “National School Meal Programs for Food and Nutrition Security and Multiple Social Benefits”.
The Global Child Nutrition Forum is a learning exchange and technical assistance conference held annually to support countries in the development and implementation of sustainable school feeding programs. The 20th edition was co-organized by Global Child Nutrition Foundation, the World Food Programme Centre of Excellence against Hunger, and the Government of the Republic of Tunisia.
