The President of the Brazil Africa institute, Prof. João Bosco Monte, met virtually, Monday 19th, with the President of the Afreximbank, Dr. Benedict Oramah, to discuss future joint initiatives and to make official the bank’s participation in Brazil Africa Forum 2021. Dr Oramah has accepted the invitation to be a speaker in the main program as Afreximbank will carry out a side event under BAF agenda.
Both chairmen stressed enthusiasm with the engagements to come.
“IBRAF and Afreximbank are long-term partners and friends. We have had several joint initiatives in the past few years, specially related with the Brazil Africa Forum, and it is always enriching to count on the insights of Dr. Oramah not only at BAF, but in a range of our other acitivites”, said Prof. João Bosco Monte.
The Brazil Africa Forum 2020 had the presence of Mr. Denys Denya, Afreximbank’s Executive Vice-President of Finances, Administration and Banking services, in the panel on trade, investment and finance for economic recovery.
In 2019, the event had a special address by Mr. Hippolyte Fofack, Afreximbank’s Chief Economist and Director of Research and International Cooperation.
Brazil Africa Forum 2021 will be held virtually on November 23rd and 24th with the theme “Natural Resources: environmental protection and sustainable development”. Registration are open, free of charges.
