As part of the international agenda to promote the Brazil Africa Forum 2026, the Embassy of Brazil in Maputo brought together political and business leaders from Mozambique to present the event and reinforce the invitation to the 14th edition, which will be held on November 11 and 12 in São Paulo.
The meeting was attended by the President of the Brazil Africa Institute, Prof. João Bosco Monte, and the Ambassador of Brazil to Mozambique, Ademar Seabra da Cruz Júnior. A total of 18 prominent representatives of the Mozambican government and business sector participated in the meetings, including Jean-Pascal Clémençon, CEO of TotalEnergies Mozambique.
According to Ambassador Ademar Seabra, the results of the initiative went beyond coordination around the event. “The Brazil-Africa Forum mission in Maputo was fully successful. The visit generated results that went beyond mobilizing Mozambique for the Forum, constituting a true business and investment agenda between the two countries.”
For Prof. João Bosco, the meetings with government and business sector representatives were promising and reinforce expectations of significant participation by Mozambique in the Brazil Africa Forum 2026. The IBRAF agenda takes place at a time of strengthening relations between Brazil and Mozambique, following the recent understandings between Presidents Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Daniel Chapo. During the Brazilian president’s visit to Maputo in November 2025, the two countries signed nine cooperation instruments in areas such as civil aviation, legal assistance, agroforestry, education, health, diplomatic training, and the promotion of investments and exports.
