PanAfrican Capital Holdings (PAC Holdings) hosted a Bilateral Business Networking Reception on Monday, September 21, at the Embassy of Brazil in Abuja, Nigeria. The meeting aimed to encourage the participation of Nigerian business leaders and public officials in the Brazil Africa Forum 2026.
The reception was attended by the President of the Brazil Africa Institute, Prof. João Bosco Monte; the CEO of PanAfrican Capital Holdings, Chris Oshiafi; and the Ambassador of Brazil to Nigeria, Carlos José Areias Moreno Garcete.
The initiative is part of the preparation agenda for the Brazil Africa Forum 2026 and expands the dialogues that have been taking place between institutions and leaders from the two countries, with a focus on building new connections and opportunities for collaboration.
“This meeting in Abuja reaffirms the strategic importance of bringing together governments, business leaders and investors from Brazil and Nigeria. It is through this high-level dialogue that we can identify opportunities, build partnerships and advance an agenda of mutually beneficial economic cooperation,” said IBRAF President Prof. João Bosco.
According to the Ambassador of Brazil to Nigeria, Carlos José Areias Moreno Garcete, this year’s Forum theme, “Natural Wealth and Prosperity: Turning Resources into Sustainable Economic Development,” is particularly timely.
“Brazil and Africa have abundant natural resources and great economic potential. The challenge is to transform this wealth into lasting prosperity, generating local value, jobs and innovation in an inclusive and sustainable manner,” the Ambassador highlighted.
The event’s host, Chris Oshiafi, emphasized the role of capital in promoting inclusive prosperity and equitable growth. “One thing that experience has taught us is that capital is most useful when it connects people, businesses and opportunities. And that is how we see the relationship between Africa and Brazil,” said the CEO of PanAfrican Capital Holdings.
As part of efforts to strengthen relations between Brazil and Nigeria, the Brazil Africa Forum 2026 program will also feature the participation of prominent Nigerian leaders, including Chris Oshiafi and Olusegun Obasanjo, former President of Nigeria, as speakers.
