PROJECTS


Brazil Africa Forum


Established as the main event focused on the relations between Brazil and the African continent, the Brazil Africa Forum is Brazil Africa Institute's flagship event, held annually. It brings together global leaders, representatives from the public and private sector, academics, entrepreneurs and investors to dialogue and build synergies. The event provides high-level discussions, networking and social interaction opportunities and media visibility to its participants.

Seminar Renewable Energy in Brazil and Africa


On March 30, 2021, the Brazil Africa Institute held the Seminar Renewable Energy in Brazil and Africa: the Clean Engines of Economic Development. The event gathered a distinguished group of speakers to discuss the main trends in the energy sector, actions to achieve decarbonization, climate change and the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. The event held a six hours live-streamed program and counted on the participation of an audience spread all over the world.

 Youth Technical Training Program (YTTP)


This capacity-building initiative leverages Brazil’s globally recognized expertise in strategic sectors to train young Africans in specific professional and technical skills. By promoting the transfer of knowledge and technology, the program combines theoretical and practical learning to equip participants with the competencies, methods, and tools needed to apply what they learn in their home countries. Through this approach, IBRAF aims to create multiplying hubs of know-how, enabling participants to replicate and expand the impact of their training across Africa.

IBRAF Fellowship Program


Set to overcome the gap between studying and engaging in international cooperation by promoting and facilitating convergence between Brazil and Africa, taking scholars and professionals to hands on experiences. IFP seeks to offer Professors, Ph.D. candidates, Masters students, specialists, and professionals the opportunity to have a concrete experience in an Organization focused on international relations. The fellows are able to explore, understand, and disclose good practices and projects in socio-economic development.

Online Professional Learning


An online platform for professional learning that has a comprehensive and multi thematic approach. IBRAF partners with Brazil’s institutions of excellency and local experts in specific fields to develop curriculum and classes for the professional development of young workers. The OPL ultimate goal is to provide quality and result-driven content for African and professionals that can use knowledge to enhance productivity, employability and revenue.

Communities of Practice


Communities of Practice are a learning style in which organized groups of people with a common interest, problem or technique share knowledge and learn from each other. Being a facilitator of good practices, Brazil Africa Institute is always seeking to promote international cooperation and engagement between Brazil, African continent and third regions. IBRAF’s CoPs work by matching demand and supply, selecting solution owners and identifying their possible replicators in an International Cooperation perspective.
