COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE

Being a facilitator of good practices, Brazil Africa Institute is always seeking to promote international cooperation and engagement between Brazil, African continent and third regions. Finding partners to boost international cooperation and innovative rural development solutions is a key. Identifying potential for peer-to-peer knowledge sharing is our goal, contributing to reducing poverty in rural areas.

HOW IT WORKS

Communities of Practice are a type of learning in which organized groups of people with a common interest, problem or technique share knowledge and learn from each other.

IBRAF’s CoPs works by matching demand and supply, selecting solutions owners and identifying their possible replicators in an International Cooperation perspective.

RURAL SOLUTIONS PORTAL

IBRAF partners with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) to strengthen the Rural Solutions Portal and IFAD's IT tracking systems to increase the uptake of rural development solutions.

The Rural Solutions Portal is a web-based knowledge-sharing platform that collects rural development solutions. These are innovations, technologies, processes and methodologies for the rural world. It is a platform available for anyone interested to consult.

Under the partnership, IBRAF is working to identify new solutions for IFAD’s platform coming from Latin America and the Caribbean and also matching them with organizations which can be replicators within the African continent.
