IBRAF opens its first headquarters in Africa

João Bosco Monte

The opening of the first office of the Brazil Africa Institute in the African continent is planned for March 27th. Accra, the capital of Ghana, is the city chosen to receive the new IBRAF’s base.

Choosing Gana takes into account not only logistical facilities, but also the country’s interest in international demands. According to IBRAF’s president, Professor João Bosco Monte, “Accra has a significant presence of organizations and financial institutions, which add strength to the diversity of projects that the new government has placed on the international agenda”.

The goal is that the new headquarters not only facilitates the execution of the IBRAF’s actions in Africa, but also attracts new ideas for the development of Brazil and the African countries. “We have a natural demand that we present, such as events and projects that we do from Brazil to African continent, but we are sure that from the moment we establish our presence in Africa other institutions, local and international, will realize that need to talk to us”, says Professor Monte.
