CALL FOR PAPERS: IBRAF Series opens submission for its new publication, focused on Infrastructure
The Brazil Africa Institute opens a call for papers to compose the next publication under the label IBRAF Series, a collection of the new series “Infrastructure” themed “Roads and Railways in Brazil and Africa”.
There will be selected 10 unpublished articles, papers or essays that address a central question: is there an ideal model for land integration in Brazil and Africa?
In this sense, the studies that will make up the publication should explore, among other topics:
- pros and cons of choosing roads and railroads as a country’s transport modal
- economic impacts of past road and railroad projects
- estimated impacts of ongoing road and railroad projects
- financing models for road and railroad integration projects
- role of extra-regional agents in road and railroad projects
Papers can have up to three authors, who have at least one postgraduate degree, and must be written in English.
The publication will be curated by Dr. Otaviano Canuto, former executive director of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
Submissions are accepted until July 31, 2021 UPDATE: September 15, 2021.
