The Brazil Africa Institute is the first organization in Latin America to support the In For Africa Alliance

The Brazil Africa Institute (IBRAF) is supporting the In For Africa Alliance, an initiative that seeks to face the advancement of COVID-19 in the African continent with awareness actions, support for sustainable initiatives, and raising funds.

The advance of the COVID-19 pandemic around the world, and especially on the African continent, is one of the greatest global fears. Not only in terms of public health, but specialists are also concerned with local economies and, mainly, an increase in the number of people in a situation of hunger.

The In For Africa has brought together leaders, experts, and celebrities as part of its awareness campaign. The initiative has raised donations to the African Union’s COVID-19 Response Fund and to the World Health Organization Regional Office in Africa.

In this way, IBRAF became the first Brazilian and Latin American organization to support the initiative. “In a difficult moment like this, we need collaboration between nations. Without solidarity, there’s no way to go very far! We are all together in this situation ”, says Professor João Bosco Monte, President of the Brazil Africa Institute.
