President’s Schedule: UNESCO and WTO

The President of the Brazil Africa Institute, João Bosco Monte, will fulfill an agenda in Europe next week. On Monday (18) in Paris, he will meet with Unesco’s Deputy Director General for Education, Svein Osttveit. The Youth Technical Training Program (YTTP) will be the theme of the meeting. The next day, in Geneva (Switzerland), the meeting will be with the ambassador Roberto Azevêdo, Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO). The two will talk about the participation of the WTO in the 5th Forum Brazil África in addition to other projects of the institute.
The Youth Technical Training Program (YTTP) was launched last Thursday in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, and aims to train young Africans in Brazilian institutions. For this first moment, which has as partners the African Development Bank (AfDB) and Embrapa Cassava and Fruits, selected young adults aged 18-35 from 16 countries who will receive training on the production of cassava among the October 9 and November 21.
The 5th Forum Brazil Africa: trends in innovation and technology for sustainable development, will take place on 23 and 24 November 2017 at the Sheraton Hotel – WTC in São Paulo and will bring together representatives of governments and private initiative, business leaders , potential investors and academics from around the world who will discuss opportunities for the innovation and technology sector in Brazil and Africa.
