IBRAF explores new avenues for international collaboration at Itaipu Parquetec
In a strategic move to strengthen partnerships and advance joint development initiatives, the President of the Brazil Africa Institute (IBRAF), Professor João Bosco Monte, recently visited Itaipu Parquetec, in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. Welcomed by Eduardo de Miranda, Director of Business and Entrepreneurship, and Yuri Benites, Director of Tourism, the meeting centered on knowledge exchange in open innovation and technological development—priority areas for both Brazil and African countries.
The visit opened discussions on potential training programs for African technicians and engineers at Itaipu Parquetec, fostering the sharing of expertise in key areas such as renewable energy, dam safety, entrepreneurship, and more. The agenda included a presentation on the park’s core mission and an in-depth tour of its main facilities, providing IBRAF with a comprehensive view of the technological and sustainability contributions offered by Itaipu Parquetec.
Professor João Bosco Monte emphasized the importance of Brazil-Africa cooperation in energy infrastructure and sustainable development, underlining how such exchange programs support innovative solutions tailored to the unique needs of African nations. “Cross-cultural knowledge exchange provides a valuable foundation for creating effective solutions that address real-world challenges in African countries”.
