Brazil Africa Institute and O.P. Jindal Global University (India) Sign Memorandum of Understanding

The Brazil Africa Institute strengthens and broadens its trilateral cooperation initiatives by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with O.P Jindal Global University (JGU), one of the most important universities in India. The document recognize the value of international cooperation and to facilitate collaboration between the two partners for academic, research and cultural activities including student mobility activities.
“I am hopeful that scholar and students from Jindal Global University can come to Brazil to participate in activities developed by the Institute”, says João Bosco Monte, president of Brazil Africa Institute. “This makes us more envisioned as a global organization that acts as a catalyst for the (not only between Brazil and Africa) approach of South South partnerships and collaboration”.
Monte also participated in the first event from CALACS – Center for African, Latin American and Caribbean Studies, a research center linked to the Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA), part of JGU. At the occasion, he presented the lecture ‘Africa and Latin America: Space for Dialogue and Business Opportunities’, attended by over 60 member of the JGU community, students and faculty, as well as guests from the Association of African Students in India.MORE
