Brazil Africa Forum 2025 brings together global leaders to foster strategic alliances for sustainable agriculture and food security

On November 4 and 5, 2025, São Paulo will become the meeting point for leaders from across the globe for the 13th edition of the Brazil Africa Forum, organized by the Brazil Africa Institute (IBRAF). Recognized as one of the leading international platforms for cooperation between Brazil and the African continent, the event continues to consolidate its role as a space for strategic dialogue, partnership building, and investment mobilization aimed at advancing sustainable development across the Global South.

Under the theme “Global Partnerships for Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security,” the Brazil Africa Forum will gather heads of state and ministers, representatives of international organizations, business leaders, development experts, and researchers to discuss pathways for ensuring a balanced, innovative, and resilient food production system. The program will address key topics such as food security and sovereignty, financing and innovation in agribusiness, modernization of agricultural infrastructure, and the smart use of natural resources — all essential pillars for long-term economic and environmental development.

Confirmed participants include José Graziano da Silva, former Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO); Daniel Balaban, Director of the WFP Centre of Excellence Against Hunger; Leila Zorzetto, Executive Director of DISAM Group; Paulo Gomes, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Africa–South East Asia Chamber of Commerce; Joaquin Lozano, Head of the Continental Liaison Office for the Americas at CGIAR; Aristide De Balla Moro Sidibé, CEO at Mali Airlines SA and Former Special Advisor to the Transitional President, Head of State of Mali; Amath Pathé Sene, Managing Director of the Africa Food Systems Forum (AGRF); Stephen Yeboah, Founder and CEO at Commodity Monitor Limited; and Miguel Azevedo, Head of Investment Banking for the Middle East, Africa, and Portugal at Citi, among others.

“The world urgently needs to find ways to eradicate hunger and ensure that natural resources are used intelligently and sustainably. The Brazil Africa Forum 2025 offers a unique opportunity to design innovative solutions, establish effective partnerships, and promote an international cooperation agenda that benefits entire societies,” says João Bosco Monte, Founder and President of IBRAF.

In addition to plenary sessions, the event will feature bilateral meetings and side activities, expanding opportunities for cooperation among governments, multilateral institutions, and the private sector.
