John Kufuor is sworn in as Honorary Member of the Advisory Board of the Brazil Africa Institute

Former Ghanaian President John Kufuor was sworn on Tuesday (23) as Honorary Member of the Advisory Board of the Brazil Africa Institute (IBRAF). He received in his office, located in Accra, the President of the IBRAF, João Bosco Monte, and the Brazilian Ambassador in Accra, Maria Elisa Teófilo Luna. During the meeting, a talk was held about the installation of the IBRAF office in Accra, scheduled for next March. Mr. Kufuor has shown interest in participating of the 6th Brazil Africa Forum, which will happen in November in the city of Salvador, Brazil, broaching about youth empowerment.

President of Ghana from 2001 to 2009, John A. Kufuor today runs a foundation supporting leadership, governance and development. In 2011, he received the World Food Prize for Food and Agriculture in recognition of his work to combat hunger during the period which he ruled the country.
