IBRAF establishes partnership with the John A. Kufuor Foundation

Brazil Africa Institute and the John A. Kufuor Foundation (JAKF) have made a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the promotion of innovation, capacity development, youth empowerment and exchange of ideas between Brazil and Ghana.

The MoU was signed in Accra, capital of Ghana, during the launch of the Kufuor Young Entrepreneurship Network (K-YEN) by IBRAF’s President, Prof. João Bosco Monte, and the CEO of the JAKF, Prof. Baffour Agyeman Duah, in the presence of former Ghanaian President John Kufuor.

The K-YEN is an initiative to support young and fledgling Ghanaian entrepreneurs, consolidating and building sustainable enterprises through capacity building activities including mentoring, coaching, training seminars and accessing finance. The partnership with IBRAF will provide one more asset: the participation in the Youth Technical Training Program (YTTP).

YTTP is Brazil Africa Institute’s initiative to provide training for African youth using Brazil’s expertise in various areas like agriculture and technology.
